This is an ongoing project and involves using Natura Pacific’s RPA (drone) to capture and deliver data using a specialised NDVI camera which measures the photosynthetic output of vegetation at the Yarrabilba Priority Development Area in the Logan Shire of south-east Queensland. These images will be recaptured bi-annually to support and offer information to a bi-annual koala offset monitoring report being provided for the purposes of monitoring the ongoing condition of koala offset areas. This monitoring project’s aim is to ensure that the vegetation in offset areas is being restored to Regional Ecosystem status and is suitable for koala dispersal and habitat requirements into the future.
